Rann Utsav - The Unique Tent City

The timeless White Desert of Rann meets the modern world through Rann Utsav, orchestrated by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL). This event introduces the extraordinary 'White Rann Experience'.

Previously deemed barren, the White Rann beside the Great Rann of Kutch was reimagined by TCGL in 2005. What began as a three-day festival has grown into a 100-day celebration at Dhordo village, where a novel tent city arises annually with temporary yet impressive infrastructure.

Day 01
Bhuj To Rann Utsav Tent City (Dhordo) - (85 KM / 02 Hr)
  • Check-in time: 12:30 PM
  • Transfer from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo on fixed timings:
  • 08:15 AM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 10:00 AM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 01:30 PM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 03:30 PM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj

The above timings are for fixed departures and are subject to change.

  • No complimentary transfers will be available after the above timings.

  • Tent allotment for guests arriving before the check-in time will be subject to availability.
  • The distance from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo, is 85 km (approx), which takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

  • 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM - Enjoy delicious lunch at the respective dining area
  • 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM - Leisure time/Indulge in an exciting range of activities at Skyzilla, Club House, Craft Market/Haat, Various Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Center, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch craft & many others.
  • 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM - High tea at the respective dining area
  • 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM - Visit the Sunset Point and the breathtaking White Rann to witness the grandeur of the setting sun. Transfers will be arranged by bus, camel cart, or a combination of both for a truly memorable experience.

Dhordo to Kala Dungar Trip (50 Km / 01 Hr)

  • 06:30 AM to 07:00 AM - Visit the Sunrise Point to witness the beauty of the rising sun over the serene White Rann. As the first light touches the vast salt desert, it creates a magical and unforgettable morning experience.
  • 07:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Breakfast at the respective dining area
  • 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM - Leisure time/Indulge in an exciting range of activities at Skyzilla, Club House, Craft Market/Haat, Various Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Center, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch Craft and many others.

  • 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM - Complimentary sightseeing at Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj, for 2 hours (approx) 
  • It Extends homage to the almost 13,000 victims of the massive Gujarat earthquake of 2001. Located a top Bhujia Hill in the State of Gujarat, the memorial spans an impressive 170 acres on the historically significant Bhujiyo Dungar.  (It will be closed on Monday)

Exclusions
  • All personal expenses like tips, laundry, telephone calls/fax, alcoholic beverages, camera/video camera fees at monuments, medical expenses, airport departure tax etc.
  • Anything not mentioned under Package Inclusions.
  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, and roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.

  • In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 20 days prior to journey date in wrriting via e-mail/Whatsapp/SMS..

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour with any additional charges as per Airlines, Hotels and Transport (if intimated before 20-30 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing will attract additional charges and subject to avilibility.

  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.

  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.

  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.

  • The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.

  • The advance payment and the invoice Number allotted to you, Once booking done, Booking amount are Non-Refundable / Non- Transferable.

  • Traveller Name should be enter in booking as per Adhaar card / Passport only (all airlines have diffrent Name format)

  • Pan card required if booking amount reached More than INR 2,00,000.

  • 50 advance to be paid at the time of booking.
  • Air fair is calcualted at the time of proposal creation and is subject to change at the time of booking.
  • 100 payment is to be made for domestic packages before 4 days of departure date.
  • 100 payment is to be made for international packages before 7 days of departure date.
  • Full payment is required once booking confirm as per condition before departure.
  • In case of cancellation standard cancellation policies will be applicable or may be changed as per the policies

  • 90 days or more before date of departure : 25% of total cost

  • 89 - 30 days before date of departure : 50% of total cost

  • 30 days or less before date of departure : 100% of total cost
